Morning Prayer is a worship service with emphasis on prayer and scripture.  People read and pray aloud and the leader will illuminate the readings with a short sermon.  Communion may be offered.  The service dates from the late 1500's in England.  We use The Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church
